Here's a shot of the first en route program graduates! I can't believe that we're done! Next step: additional training with the FAA at their academy in Oklahoma City. I'm sure gonna miss these guys! 

Here's a shot of Ann at between 13 and 14 weeks. She's not really showing a whole lot yet, however, she has to pee like 40 times a day, including about 10 times during the night. We had to switch sides of the bed so that she could be closer to the bathroom. HA HA! I think it's funny! Her next appointment is May 9th and I plan to post a new pic of her along with any other pertinent info like weight gain, etc. 

Ann going through her closet finding the last remaining pants that fit. Everything is becoming a bit tighter and I think that maternity clothes are just around the corner. 

I had the opportunity to get out to the driving range last week. The weather is warming up quickly and I'm anxious to get out on the course. 

Ann and I went hiking on the Rachel Carson trail in Harrison Hills state park located in the Laurel Highlands of southwestern PA. The trail is known for views like this one along the Monongahela River. In the background is Freeport, PA.

Here's a shot of the en route radar lab at the aviation sciences center. I spend a good part of my week here. 

The baby is on the way!!

Now the word is out! Ann and I are having our first baby. We went to our first checkup today and everything looks great. The little one is due to make its appearance sometime around October 30th.

Here is the first picture of our baby. This is at 11 weeks. The baby's head is in the lower right and its feet are in the upper left. Pretty cool huh? 

I think this made Ann's morning. 

Easter

Ann and I had a wonderful time down in Charleston for Easter. Ann even had some time to make some Easter eggs with Nana and Blair. We're looking forward to heading back down there for the Memorial Day Weekend.

McConnells Mill State Park

Ann and I hiked Alpha Pass, a short trail in McConnells Mill State Park, over the weekend. It was our first hike of the season and most of the trail was covered in snow and ice. The 3.5 mile loop took about 4.5 hours to complete because of the icy conditions. The trail runs parallel to Slippery Rock creek which was created by glacial runoff from the last ice age. We saw four kayakers make their way down Slippery Rock creek as we hiked along. It was a gorgeous day and we really enjoyed ourselves despite being pretty tired when we got back to the car.
