I've finally been offered a job by the FAA. Ann, Madie, and I will be heading to Warrenton, VA where I'll be working at Potomac Tracon. The facility is about 35 miles southwest of D.C. The Tracon controls arrivals and departures for Dulles, Reagan, Baltimore, Richmond, Andrews Air Force Base, and various satellite airports. We won't be leaving Charleston till spring, however. I still need to complete a medical checkup, a psychological examination and an extensive background check that takes about 6 months. The above picture is of the radar room at Potomac Tracon.

Ann's grandfather, Ronnie, suffered a stroke last week and is still hospitalized. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Madie is just a few days shy of being 9 months old. She had her most recent checkup earlier this week. She weighs 17lbs 4oz. and is 28.25in. in height. She is doing great! We're still trying to convince her to grow her hair. Also, she says what we think is mom and she also says something that sounds like dad (dadoo). Last but not least, she has learned how to wave.

Some little girl has taken a liking to climbing stairs. We always follow close behind to make sure she doesn't fall. Not only does she enjoy it, but it wears her out before bed.
