I'm headed back to OKC for my radar training on November 15th. I just found out on my first day at the TRACON that a slot at the academy had opened up and since I'm first alphabetically, I was chosen to go. Unfortunately, Madie and Ann won't be able to come. So, we'll be apart for 4 weeks. However, I'll be home a little bit before Christmas and will be able to visit friends and relatives for the Holidays.

Ann is going to try and keep the blog updated while I'm away. See you guys around Xmas!

While we were in Pittsburgh getting our stuff out of storage, Madie had her first birthday party. Some of the good friends that came to celebrate were Mike, Michele, Dan, Laura, Keith, Emerson, and Blair. Thanks everyone! 

Here are some shots of us on our last day in Oklahoma City. My lead instructor, pictured above, arranged a tour of Will Rogers World Airport for us. It was very cool to be in a working ATC environment. 

We will be leaving Oklahoma on Wednesday Nov. 1 to start our trek to Virginia. We will stop off in Charleston, WV, then a quick stop in Pittsburgh to load our moving truck, and finally, we will arrive in Gainesville VA on Saturday to move in. I'll start work at Potomac TRACON on Monday the 6th. It's going to be a busy week.

We have not yet decided on an internet provider, however, as soon as we do, we'll begin updating the blog. Madie turns 1 on Friday the 3rd and we plan on posting those pics as soon as we can.

Since it was such a gorgeous day in Oklahoma today, we decided to go the zoo. Madie had a great time but fell asleep as we were walking out. Below are several shots that Ann and I took while walking around.  

Going to the zoo will tire you out.
