Here is a picture of the cake from Eric and Matt's Check Out party. We had a really good turnout for having it on a Tuesday night (they are pretty low on seniority so their days off are Wednesday and Thursday).

CPC!!!

Eric took his final checkride yesterday at work which means that he is now officially a CPC (Certified Professional Controller; full performance level). He can work any air traffic in, out and around DCA without any assistance. This made him the first controller to be certified in the Mount Vernon area without working at a prior facility. I am very proud of him. Check out party will be soon : )

I got picked up by the FAA to work as a controller at Potomac TRACON- where Eric works. I have training at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City until August 5^th. Eric and Madie are doing well, but posts to the blog will be very slow over the summer…

Pancakes for Mother's Day!

Eric actually took me to see Dolly Parton in Fairfax a few weeks ago. It was a great show and I was happy that she played several of her older songs. Lot of rhinestones and three outfit changes!

We went to a horse show over the weekend at Commonwealth Park. Madie really enjoyed picking all of the dandelions she could find...
